Are anesthesiologists on telephone?

I want to be an anesthesiologist...and I know surgeons are on-call...but are anesthesiologists too?Are anesthesiologists on telephone?
Who do you think anesthetizes the tolerant that is on the operating table at 2 a.m.?
Of course anesthesiologists are on bid. Larger hospitals will have 2 or 3 doctors on call for to handle cases that run tardy, those that come in emergently, and the obstetric service. Some places own people stay surrounded by the hospital (especially if it is a facility that handles trauma), while others allow the doctor to stay at home until call.
Yes
Yes,anesthesiologist do have on-calls programmed - usually once per week which is variable depending on the standard rule of the department and some arrangements and agreements.
